WRITE THE ENGLAND DURING 1800S,I WANT TO SEE HOW HE IS LIKE UNDER YOUR PEN.:333 Id like to see how he switched his personality
Well, since you asked so nicely, Nana. I’m in the process of editing this thing because I’m writing long, historical England/China fic, and I wrote this part first *is so smart* and now I want it to fit into my fic ahahha. Anyway, he’s a bigger douche in my head during the first Opium Wars, but this ficlet is set during the start of the second. One day, I will finish my fic and show you a real jackass. XD In my headcanon, he begins to change after WWI, but it isn’t until after WWII that he’s a different person to me. >< Anyway, I’m not done editing this, so he may end up different when I AM done. XD Enjoy?
xxx
I’m so interested to see your England before any of this… say 1500’s-1600’s. Earlier even. The way you develop him is outstanding. I really like how you develop China too. He’s really haughty and stubborn when you write him during this time and earlier, but your modern China is so worn. Proud, still, but very worn and real. You give them so much emotion. :) I’m so proud of you.
My dissertation will never end.
Why do people always try to compare horrific events to one another? Death is death. Killing is killing. In my opinion, no matter what the circumstances are, there is never a justified reason to kill people.
Why is there this insistent need to make one tragedy worse than another? Can we not focus on the numbers killed or the reason why and stop comparing these things? Can we just acknowledge the fact that innocent people were killed and hurt and freely mourn the loss of people without comparing these attacks to other ones?
People who try to make a tragedy seem worse than another are disgusting.
People are disgusting, that is why…. If a comparison is under way, why not bring up what was done all over the world? Germans were killing Jews but what about the bombing of Dresden? Do the evil things the Nazis did mean the innocent lives lost in Dresden are worth nothing? What about China and Korea and what Japan did to them?
People died. Innocent people died. Children died. Families were torn apart. These are all tragedies. End of discussion.
I agree. I like my RusAme to death, but America doesn’t seem right being in a relationship. He’s a free spirit. He’s idealistic to a fault too. He might fancy people, but he’d probably fall in love with an American girl before he loved another nation. Too many disagreements (especially with Russia </3). Even with England, I suspect England would tie America down.
I don’t think people realise how seriously I take Kurama lol.
Yeah I’m doing it for fun, it’s a hobby, I enjoy it.
However, I am also very connected with him, and even if it wasn’t personal, I take him seriously. He’s not a character to be trifled with.
That’s just my opinion. Anyone can RP how they want.
But this is how I do mine. You’re lucky you can even rp him! I don’t like rping America with just anyone anymore. I take him so seriously. Rping as him with someone means giving someone a part of my heart. A part of my soul. A part of me. What sucks is that I can’t even rp a character who is America’s love interest because no one does America justice in my head. D8
I was going to scream at you for not enabling reply, but that applies to posts you author only, right?
Your America is so beautiful. After rping with you, I can’t find an America worth my time. Taking characters seriously makes those characters much more real. Finding people who can do this is hard. Bless people like you.
Sometimes, I want to write really corny iggychu. You know, set it in some fantastical time era with dragons and magic and maidens and knights. A tragic tale of a love that could never really be mingled with historical references and elaborate fashion.
Most of the times, I just really want to write porn. I think those two would look good against a wall. And in the shower. And under a desk. On top of a desk too.
because cannon angst is nature of the pairing
when you realize the fluff is never fit them,it left nothing except the endless angst and pure emptiness. At least for me it’s always strange to see them in pink bubbles XD
Here comes a sap who loves fluff and pink bubbles, even for IggyChu but I admit that it is kind of strange XDD
Someone write me Cardverse!IggyChu I need it ;A;
Personally, I think romance can be done if the characters are illustrated in a certain way. I’ve read a lot of iggychu in which they aren’t actually portrayed … realistically? I don’t know. They are both strong, proud, passionate individuals. Stick them together and they clash. They fight and kick and scratch. They wear each other down, strip each other naked, and after so much fighting, they see that they’re similar. They silently understand each other. And from that blooms a type of gentle love. Apprehensive because of their past and their personalities, but entirely capable of romance. They may not want to admit it, but they are alike, and because they are fiery, especially towards each other, once they get past their trust issues, they are fully capable of fluttery romance.
However, I think I put too much thought into characters. XD;;;; I just really do think they’d be capable of fluff.
THANK YOU. Fluff is acheived depending on how you look at them. They are totally the type to argue and fight but when it comes down to it, they are two of the most passionate nations and god damn would they have the best and most romantic pillow talk XD i mean, look at their cultures and literature and tell me those two would try to outdo (read: seduce) each other in the most romanctic of ways. XD
^ I was writing a response but this sums it all better than I could x’D
though I think they’re more of the snarky type so they’ll try to outdo each other in that area, but I like how you thinkxDDD Oh yea, they’d be all snarky and jerky about it. XDDD They’re bastards you know. BUT THEN THEY’D END UP LEARNING MORE ABOUT EACH OTHER AND BUHYOOOOOO /explodes
STOP IT NOW I WANT TO WRITE IGGYCHU PILLOW TALK /slits wrists
It sounds more reasonable that China would be passionate with England than with any other nation. I love nichu, but there’s that trust issue and tensions that exist to the day. I don’t see America as a passionate person in bed, so he wouldn’t keep up with China, who I think is a little whore (I said it!) And let’s not even speak about Russia.
There’s something tragic and romantic about iggychu. Yes they can be angsty but they can be one giant ball of fire too. This is coming from someone who prefers other China pairs. You are converting me, Gabby. Please stop.
Gabby wrote me ameripan.
And not just ameripan, but ameripan PORN.
WWII. AMERIPAN. PORN.

She’s obviously doing what she does best: writing controversial porn. K, I think you need to share.
*reading fic about OTP*
OMG, this might actually be good.

GDI IT’S ONLY T /shoots self
I’ll write you England/China porn if you write me Japan/China porn.
As a former Roman Catholic, I personally think the free will thing was bullshit. Actually, all throughout childhood, that in particular was taught heavily, only to be taught “God knows all, and he knows what you’re going to do.” As a child, I was very confused by this. I could not help but think that it was simply a tactic in remaining holy and pure.
I have other thoughts based on the context, as it’s said parts of the Bible were written/translated by Monks that may have purposely altered the text for their sons. (I don’t have the source on my iPod) but since we’re discussing, hey. My two cents. In what language was the Bible originally written? >w> Yeah, I actually don’t know. I was reading a Latin version and an Old English version. I know the Old English was translated word for word (the grammar is scary D8) from Latin, as was King Jame’s version, but from where did the Latin version come?
I actually know very little about the Bible and all that jazz, but religions interest me, so now I’m curious to see how the versions vary. xD
The original transcripts were in Hebrew and Greek.
The Latin translation was a terrible, awful translation upon which all modern translations are based.
How much varies? I ask because the Old English version is very similar to the Latin version, but King Jame’s version is quite different from the Latin version. However, I’m talking specifically about language nuances, and I’ve looked only at three or four Bible stories in these languages, so my grasp on the content isn’t as wide as it can be.
If you want a comparison, I wrote a paper for one of my languages classes in which I compare various versions. To be honest, the differences are minimal. A lot of those differences have to do with word choice and nuances of a language. OE was very similar to the Latin version because of OE’s small vocabulary. They had to borrow words from Latin or make up new words.
